Sindh Assembly passes budget for next fiscal year

The Sindh Assembly approved the budget of next financial year of 1217 billion rupees in its session today.
During the proceedings, the House gave approval for 159 demands of grants of more than 1186 billion rupees while 543 cut motion presented by the opposition were rejected.
Speaking on the floor of the House, the Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Sindh’s budget for next financial year is no deficit budget. He further informed that the Government had saved 7 billion rupees in the current financial year.
The session has now been adjourned to meet again at 1100 hours tomorrow.
