Pakistan reaffirms commitment to continue playing role for regional peace, stability

At the United Nations, Pakistan says it will continue to play its role for peace and stability in the region.
This was stated by Pakistan's outgoing permanent representative to United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi while participating in a debate on the prevailing situation in the Middle East.
Underscoring the need for reconciliation in Middle East, Lodhi said Prime Minister Imran Khan has been holding consultations with leaderships of Saudi Arabia and Iran to forge unity within the ranks of the Islamic Ummah.
She emphasized that any framework for regional peace must be built on the foundation of mutual respect.
