US urges parties in Iraq to show restraint

The United States has urged stakeholders in Iraq to show restraint.
Speaking in Washington, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged Iraqi government to listen to the legitimate demands of protesters.
It may be noted that more than two hundred and fifty people have so far been killed in demonstrations that broke out last month over corruption and unemployment.
The protesters are seeking the ouster of Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi.
