Pervez Musharraf's death sentence should be executed

ISLAMABAD: The special court has issued a detailed verdict of a serious treason case against former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, in which two judges declared the former president as a treasonor and sentenced him to death. A three-member bench of the special court located in the federal capital, Islamabad, sentenced him to death under Article 6 in a brief verdict in the Pervez Musharraf serious treason case on December 17.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Waqar Seth of the Peshawar High Court, Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court and Justice Nazar Akbar of the Sindh High Court passed the verdict with a majority of 2. After this, today a detailed judgment of 167 pages of the case has been issued, including a 44-page controversial note by Justice Nazar Akbar. A detailed judgment of the court has been written by Justice Waqar Seth while Justice Shahid Karim has given his death sentence.

However, Justice Shahid Karim agreed with the sentence but he disagreed with the paragraph 66 contained in the judgment, which mentioned that if Musharraf died before his sentence, he would be dragged to the D-square and hanged for 3 days. ۔ Justice Shahid Karim said that I have no basis in the law of Mr. President (Head Bench) and that doing so would bring a negative impression to this court, I think it is enough to give the culprit a death
