Édouard Philippe resigns as French Prime Minister

French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe resigned on Friday ahead of a government reshuffle by President Emmanuel Macron. In a statement, Elysee Palace said Philippe would handle government affairs until a new cabinet was named.
