Iran condemns US jet fly-by of airliner as terrorism by 'outlaws'

Iran has said that a U.S. fighter jet harassed an Iranian civilian airliner in an act of terrorism that injured and panicked passengers. According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, protest letter would be submitted to the UN Security Council and secretary-general over the threat posed to the Mahan Air passenger plane. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused the United States of endangering civilian passengers. Earlier, the U.S. military said its F-15 had kept at a safe distance.
