Mali's ex-defence minister Ba N'Daou appointed transitional president

In Mali, former defense minister Ba N'Daou has been appointed as president of a new transition government. ccording to the leader of the Sahel state's ruling military junta, the new president will lead the country before staging elections and returning Mali to civilian rule.
