Nearly 2bn doses of COVID19 vaccines secured for equitable distribution

Nearly two billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been secured for equitable distribution during the next year to the 190 countries. According to an announcement of the World Health Organization-led partnership group, they expect delivery to begin in the first quarter of next year. Meanwhile, the United States has approved Moderna as the country's second Covid-19 vaccine, clearing the way for millions of doses to be released.
