'Minister Housing announces during the inauguration of the housing society for Swat Journalists'


Swat: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali has said that housing schemes have been started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the low-income population, including journalists, which will soon provide the best housing facilities to low-income people in the province. He said that the 2% quota has been fixed for journalists in housing projects.  The allocation of 40 kanals of land for journalists in the Dangram Housing Project in Swat is part of the strategy. Completion of the project will provide better housing facilities for journalists in Swat, added the Minister.  He further said that Dangram Housing Project consists of 209 kanals of land in which state-of-the-art high-rise buildings will also be constructed and special attention will be given to tree planting for beautification and a better environment of the housing society. He expressed these views during the inauguration of a housing project for journalists in Swat Dangram along with Adviser for Information and Higher Education Kamran Bangash on Thursday. MNA Saleem-ur-Rehman and Chairman DDAC Swat Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai also participated.

Talking to the media on the occasion of the inauguration, Information Adviser Kamran Bangash said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is working to address the housing issues of journalists under an integrated strategy across the province. Housing schemes for journalists will solve the housing problems of journalists in the province and will enable them to carry out their journalistic duties in a better way.  He said that it was the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide the best housing facilities to the low-income people and we are all striving for the fulfillment of this vision.

Explaining the priorities of the housing sector, the Housing Minister said that plans are also being brought under the Land Sharing Policy to ensure land acquisition in suitable places for low-income people.  He said that paperwork on such projects has been completed and will start soon.
