In India, thousands of women have joined farmer protests on the outskirts of Delhi today to mark International Women's Day. According to police and event organizers, over 20,000 women gathered at the site near Delhi's border with the state of Haryana. Talking to the media, farm activist Kavitha Kuruganti said the day will be managed and controlled by women and the speakers will be women.
