Mingora Gravity Water Supply Scheme is vital to solve long-lasting water issues of Mingora City, Commissioner Malakand Division Syed Zaheerul Islam

Swat: A high-level meeting regarding Mingora Gravity Water Supply Scheme was held at Commissioner's Office Saidu Sharif.  The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner Syed Zaheerul Islam.  Chairman District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Swat Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai, MPA Azizullah Gran, MPA Sardar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Swat Junaid Khan, AC Babuzai Shozaib Abbas, AC Charbagh Iqrar Ahmed Wazir, AC Khawazakhela Shakeel Ahmed, officers of Local Government departments and other officials attended.  The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the progress and designing of the project by the Local Government Department.  Presiding over the meeting, Commissioner Malakand Division Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam said that the urban population of Mingora has been suffering from water supply problems for a long time. In view of the problems of the local population, the Mingora Gravity Water Supply Project was introduced. Commissioner said that the designing phase of the project has been completed by experienced designers and experts have completed the design of the project in accordance with local conditions and modern requirements.  He said that consultations were also underway with the local communities involved in the project so that their views could be taken forward by consensus.  Commissioner Malakand Division Syed Zaheerul Islam also thanked the local public representatives and said that the public representatives have worked tirelessly for the project and have played a vital role in designing the project and handling other matters in a short span of time.  Commissioner Malakand Division Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam said that Mingora Gravity Water Supply Project would prove to be a historic project for the people of Mingora and its environs which would completely eradicate water problems in the area.
