South African President terms violence in the country as pre-planned

South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa has termed the violence in the country as pre-planned, describing it as an assault on democracy. Talking to the media during a visit to KwaZulu-Natal, he said the riots were an attempt to hijack South Africa's democracy. The violence and riots were sparked after the jailing of former President, Jacob Zuma. More than two hundred and ten people have been killed in the violence across the country since Thursday.
