Myanmar's shadow govt calls for people's defensive war against country's military junta

Myanmar’s shadow government has called for a people’s defensive war against the country’s military, which seized power in a coup on the 1st of February. The acting president of the National Unity Government Duwa Lashi La, formed by the elected legislators who were thrown out of office by the Junta, made the call in a video posted on Facebook today (Tuesday). He said that with the responsibility to protect the life and properties of people, the National Unity Government has launched a people’s defensive war against the military junta.
