Swat(SPOTSTORY): The district administration of Swat organized a special Khuli Kachehri for the special persons at the Special Education Center of Mingora in which the special persons participated and informed the district administration and departments about various issues. Assistant Commissioner Babuzai Asghar Surani, Additional Assistant Commissioner Sohail Khan, and officers from the district, provincial, and federal departments participated. Participants in discussed various issues and presented suggestions in Khuli Kachehri, including problems in obtaining financial support, provision of wheelchairs and other disability-related equipment and facilities, challenges in accessing services in various private and government buildings, employment for disabled persons, implementation of quota and provision of jobs on merit, provision of scholarships to special students and skill and employment programs for the differently abled persons of the society. Assistant Commissioner Babuzai Asghar Surani, while issuing orders to various departments said that the quota is being implemented to provide jobs to special people and in this regard, the relevant departments are working under the rules and regulations, while a report will be called regarding the implementation of the quota. Looking at the problems of special persons related to the Baitul-Mal office, he ordered to shift to an alternative place and said that a school for special persons is under construction which is being constructed in accordance with modern requirements. The Assistant Commissioner said that he will issue orders to the hospital administration to make arrangements for the treatment of special people on a priority basis in hospitals, while special and priority seats will be set up for special students in schools so that children who are weak in hearing have ease in study. He said that under the Baitul-Mal and Ehsaas program, the procedure of providing facilities for special people will be made easy.
