European Union says all settlement activities by Israel on Palestinian territory are illegal under international law and erodes the prospects for a lasting peace in Middle East.
This was stated by British Ambassador to the UN, Karen Pierce while talking to reporters at the UN on behalf of Germany, France, Poland and Belgium.
He strongly opposed the United States for its declaration that it no longer considers Israeli settlements to be in violation of international law.
