US to keep about 600 troops in Syria

The United States has announced to maintain around 600 troops in Syria despite President Donald Trump's desire to end US involvement in the country.
While travelling to Seoul, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said the United States is still moving troops out of northeastern Syria.
Esper said the numbers could fluctuate, particularly if European allies strengthen their presence in the country.
Trump had announced last month to fully withdraw US troops from Syria.
