Iran vows to support peace and stability in Afghanistan, stressing the need to establish peace based on the outcome of intra-Afghan talks owned and led by Afghans. In a statement, special representative of Iranian foreign minister for Afghan Affairs, Mohammad Ebrahim Taheri, dismissed the recent remarks by the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, who blamed Iran for "insufficient support" for Afghan peace process.
