Globally Coronavirus cases surpass 18 million with 690,000 deaths

World Health Organization says more than 18 million people around the world have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus while nearly 690,000 have died. The Director-General of world health body Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a virtual meeting in Geneva said almost 11 million have recovered. He said the US is in a new phase of the outbreak, with infections "extraordinarily widespread" in rural areas as well as cities. According to a White House, expert cases hit 4.68 million with more than 155,000 deaths reported.
