The Syrian government, opposition, and civil society delegations are resuming meetings in Geneva today, to discuss a possible new constitution of the country. The meetings are being hosted by UN's Syria envoy, Geir Pedersen, who sees it as a prospective door-opener to a final resolution of the country’s devastating nine-year civil war. Major regional and world powers, including Iran, Russia, Turkey, and the United States are also expected to be present on the sidelines during the week-long gathering at the UN offices in Geneva.
