CPEC an open initiative based on shared benefits: China

China says the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project is an open initiative based on the principles of joint consultation, shared contribution, and shared benefits. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Zhao Lijian during a briefing in Beijing said both China and Pakistan welcome any initiative that supports the Belt and Road Initiative launched by President Xi Jinping and its flagship projects – the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said relevant countries and international organizations can take part in the building of CPEC and sharing the benefits of BRI.
